In 2015, Amanda won 2nd place in the graduate student section of the prestigious AEJMC Promising Professors competition. The Promising Professors Awards honor new faculty and graduate students who demonstrate excellence and innovation in teaching. Winners were selected based on recommendation of the chair/dean of the student’s department, recommendation from faculty and students, and a portfolio (see below) that demonstrated excellence in teaching through examples of syllabi, teaching evaluations, and innovative teaching methods.
